ADDITIONAL PRIORITIES

Capital campaigns, when done right, create velocity within an organization, and they oftentimes allow for the quick completion of additional projects.

During the A Unique Moment in Time Capital Campaign, FRA’s lower school dining hall received a complete renovation. The space was retrofitted with small, round tables, a salad bar accessible to our youngest students, and an age-appropriate serving line. The floors were replaced and the walls were painted with bright murals. This was an opportunity to improve the dining experience for students in kindergarten through fourth grades since the entire school community no longer had to use this one single space for lunch.

LAND PURCHASE

FRA lower school students and faculty also returned to school for the 2019-20 school year to find a much-needed covered portico in front of Danner Hall. The portico provides a roof for students and faculty from rain and hot sunny days during morning drop-off as well as during dismissal.

Lastly, of strategic importance to FRA was the land adjacent to the campus at the corner of Franklin Pike and Harding Road. FRA was able to acquire this last piece of land during the summer of 2020 to both protect our school border and to imagine the possibilities for this property in the near future.
