STUDENT CENTER

One of the great hallmarks of FRA is the sense of community, and the center for student life provides the perfect backdrop for bringing all students – pre-k3 through 12th grade and faculty – together every day to celebrate this asset and build and strengthen our community.

The center for student life opened in August 2019 and was named by the capital campaign’s lead donor in memory of beloved teacher and coach, George Weicker for the many contributions he made both in the classroom and on the athletic fields and because of all of the ways in which he loved and mentored so many FRA students over the years.

The Weicker Center for Student Life houses a new dining hall for grades 5-12, a café and spirit store, the admission office, student common areas, four dynamic classrooms, a Heart 2 Heart classroom, dance studio and wrestling room, campus safety and security, and three all-school offices. The building contains huge windows that let in an abundance of natural daylight and serves as a small “town-center” in the middle of campus for our students, their families, and faculty and staff.

DIGGING DEEPER

"A lot of people intersect here and we're able to see people that we don't usually see on a day-to-day basis ...it's a lot of fun to have more space to be able to interact with those students from lower, middle, and upper school."
